meeting minutes - march, 2022

Attendees: Susie Overall, Nicole Reitter, Jenny Suh, Yvonne Moore, Stacey Jacobs, Lori Kuntz, Hien Larson

Fundraising Ideas:

• Band Concert - Thursday, March 24th at 6 pm. Sell treats (Sign Up Genius for parent contributions) and flowers. Nicole, Stacey & Yvonne.
• Wine Card Idea: Local restaurant, punch card for five glasses of wine
• Dance (April 22nd) - Sell spirit wear, Pura Vida bracelets, glowing necklace. Sign Up Genius for volunteers. Maybe some fun dance swag, (need to find out what is approved to sell). Water bottles with cougar sticker, light up necklaces, etc. Photo booth (Chris Beck)?
• March 23rd Minimum Day - Summit Swirl?
• Restaurant Fundraiser - El Toro Bravo? 

Spirit Wear

• Did a coffee cart, not a ton of traction, too early in the morning and not a good place to set up.
• Beanies, flat brim hats, sweatshirts, tshirts, 
• There is a link to Spirit Wear sales in the weekly Cougar News
• Tell Hien to alert kids that Spirit Wear will be available at the dance and band concert.
• Sell at Band Night - March 24th (starts at 6) - possibly sell flowers for performers, cookies, drinks, baked treats, 

Staff Appreciation Week (May 2-6)

• A week with themed ideas for teachers and staff each day; breakfast cart; wellness bar; herb plants; cake/sweet day; lunch (sandos from Raleys); ACMS swag. (Last year we did snacks for staff, succulents, brown bag breakfast, handwritten thank you cards to every staff member and a windbreaker, and Friday: movie night in with $5 Amazon gift cards, mv popcorn -  Budget $1750)
• Maybe get businesses to sponsor one day (Raley’s, Grocery Outlet, parents, any local business,
• 72 Teachers and Staff
• Swag: t-shirts to wear on Friday, long sleeve, 75 shirts. Possible sponsor. 

Silent Auction (May 12)

• Back to school night
• Homeroom Teachers will each do a basket
• Other items: donations welcome, will create a spreadsheet with ideas and follow up
• Kermes Dinner

Sponsors

• Yearbook pages complete
• Banners are finalized, looking great

Treasurer's Report

• Balance $14,000, including two checks from Grocery Outlet and one from Summit Swirl. Grocery Outlet contributes $200-$400 per month.
• $1000 from tamale fundraisers this year
• We will ask for donations specifically towards Staff Appreciation Week
• Sponsorships: Four big sponsors (Overall and Hamilton, CATT, West Orthodontics, Grizzly Creek Camp
• Paid $800 to SWEP, $800 to Arts for the Schools
• Need thank you cards (Nicole Reitter)

8th Grade Promotion

• Donate through PTO’s pay pal (Susie will send to Laurie K.)
• Will need more volunteers

Dorothy Gadsby Memorial Book Drive 

• Donate children's books to TES staff room, new or gently used books, books in Spanish welcome
• Boxes available for donation through April 8th
