PTO began the school year with new members to our team. Great to see new faces and hear fresh ideas. We welcomed new and returning parents with a coffee social on the first day of school and was well received. PTO recently supported teachers during conference week by providing brunch items during this busy week and was greatly appreciated by staff. Thanks to those who brought their special dish. Following Conference Week was Red Ribbon Week focusing on saying No to drugs and alcohol. Rose…please insert brief RRW update and what kids did for the week. 6th graders attended Shady Creek, a science based four day field trip the last week of October while the 7th graders attended the ropes course at Granlibakken learning team building skills and brain science activities. Both trips were sponsored and made possible by PTO. On November 7th parents came out in full force to help ASB’s Sports-a-Thon fundraiser. It was a warm, beautiful November day and the event was held outdoors. Students were able to participate in a taste of several sports of interest including volleyball, basketball, soccer, zumba, golf, yoga, baseball, disc golf and lacrosse.
