Approval of October Minutes: Jill made a motion to approve October minutes, Vonnie seconded. All in favor - minutes approved.Spring Auction Planning

• Silent auction at risk of cancellation - no chair identified
  
  • Typically generates $6-10K annually (last year: $8K)
    
  • Usually held during spring open house timeframe
    
• New volunteer Vonnie Davidson offered to lead expanded event
  
  • Has brewery auction experience, generates >$10K at Bay Area events
    
  • Proposes live auction + party format instead of silent-only
    
  • Suggests off-site venue to allow alcohol sales (one-day permit)
    
  • Has catering connections through Mary Grunk (Rosewood/Incline)
    
• Previous year challenges: Lori invested significant hours with disappointing results
  
• Consensus to explore new format for better engagement and revenue
  

Budget Items & Approvals

• Conference week expenses covered successfully
  
  • Used combination of Costco supplies, Trokay baked potato bar, Donner Creek sandwiches
    
  • Switched to breakfast format some days to reduce costs
    
  • Teachers highly appreciative of daily meal service
    
• Student council sweatshirt funding request by Hien
  
  • 32 students in leadership requesting sweatshirts
    
  • $35 total cost, students paying $20, PTO asked to cover $15 difference
    
  • Total PTO cost: ~$480
    
  • $1,000 STUCCO grant budget available (previously unused)
    
  • Determine with Kate on budget and get back to Hien on this request.

  • New sponsors: Olga Keeley family, Truckee Rotary, Trokay, Donner Creek Brewing

Operational Updates

• Fall fundraiser down 30% from previous year, creating budget deficit
  
  • Still operating with healthy surplus from previous years
    
  • Group consensus to spend down surplus for current students
    
• Volunteer engagement lower than normal across multiple activities
  
• Native American assembly scheduled for Monday (anonymous donor funded)
  
• Principal seeking inflatable dinosaurs for Friday teacher rally race
